Groups, Seminars, Retreats

spiritual direction / spiritual practices / soul care

Group Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction is not only for individuals. In fact, group spiritual direction can be a very effective discernment tool as individuals listen on behalf of one another, providing a variety of insights, community connection, and nourishment for the soul. A recommended format is 4-8 participants meeting once a month for 4 months. Sessions are 2 hours each. At each meeting, two people share a question or issue for discernment; the group listens and prays in silence on behalf of each presenter and then offers whatever is given to them during the silence.
$160 / person ($40 / session); please contact me if you are interested in being part of a group.

relationships / marriage / parenting

My husband, Neil, and I have been married 33 years. After a 25-year career in Information Technology, he discerned a call to go back to school and become a counselor. For the past eight years he has been a licensed marriage and family therapist with special training in attachment theory (relationship bonding styles) and trauma therapy (nsharpe.com). One of our greatest joys is partnering to help individuals, couples, and families find healing for their relationships with self, God, and one another.

Classes, Seminars/Workshops, and Retreats
We enjoy teaching classes and leading workshops and retreats on a variety of topics/books related to marriage, parenting, and relationship issues, such as...

  • The Connected Parent
  • The Conflict Trap
  • The Five Love Languages, by Gary Chapman
  • How We Love, by Milan and Kay Yerkovich (attachment love styles)
  • And other topics
