WELCOME FRIEND!
The spiritual life is a journey, and you're not meant to travel alone.
Whether you're longing for a deeper connection with God, seeking comfort or guidance for a circumstance or season, or simply craving space to be still and attentive to God's presence, spiritual direction offers the rare gift of soul companionship.
Spiritual direction is a safe and sacred space to slow down, quiet the noise, and notice how God is already present and at work in your life. It creates room for honest conversation, compassionate listening, gentle discernment, and a deeper awareness of God's transforming love.
I offer a welcoming, unhurried space where you can bring your whole story—your questions, wounds, hopes, and longings—and explore it all in the light of God's loving presence and grace. Together, we will create space for you to discern God's invitations, rest in God's love, and become more fully the person you were created to be.
I'd be honored to walk alongside you on the journey

What is spiritual direction?
An unhurried space to listen and be known
Spiritual direction is not therapy, counseling, or advice.
It's a sacred conversation where the focus is slowing down and listening together. You bring your story. We talk and listen. And God meets us in the listening.
THE GIFTS OF SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
What becomes possible when you
slow down and listen
- Deeper awareness of God -- a growing sense of God's presence in the ordinary moments of your everyday life
- Freedom from striving -- release from performance-based faith—the exhausting work of earning God's love or approval—into the rest of simply receiving it
- Healing of old wounds -- a safe space for painful stories and unresolved wounds to be brought gently into the love and light of God's presence, where healing happens
- Clarity and discernment -- greater confidence in navigating life's decisions, transitions, and questions—hearing God's voice more clearly
- A richer prayer life -- movement from one-way prayer into a dynamic conversation with God— honest and alive
- Being known and loved -- the transforming experience of being seen by a compassionate spiritual companion, and by the God who knows you best and loves you most
—ABOUT SALLY
A soul companion at heart
Hey, there. I'm so glad you're here. If we were sitting together right now, I'd ask you how you're really doing—and I'd mean it. Listening to others share their hearts and discovering together how God is at work in their lives is one of my greatest joys.
I came to the work of spiritual direction through a long career in Christian publishing—many years of sitting with authors, drawing out their stories and companioning them in their creative and spiritual journeys. Over the years, my own desire for less striving and more freedom in God led me deeper—into a contemplative journey and the transforming discovery that God's love isn't something we earn by our efforts but something we receive. It is this lived experience of being fully known and completely loved that changes everything.
Now, I'm passionate about helping others slow down, listen deeply, and find their way to that same transforming love.

I am profoundly grateful for the healing I've encountered through spiritual direction with Sally. Her gifted presence shines through in every session, and her compassion has become a living conduit, carrying the love of Jesus into the very places of my brokenness. —Elizabeth
I have been walking with Sally in spiritual direction for a little over a year, and it has been such an encouragement! Sally is an attentive listener and has thoughtfully prompted me during our sessions with love and kindness. She has walked with me through a season of much change and transition and continues to lead me toward a deeper understanding of myself in light of our gracious and loving God. —Matt
Sally's greatest gift is her ability to listen in love and respond with compassion. She is open-handed in letting God use her to guide others toward spiritual wellness and healing. She has created a safe space for me to talk about family addiction issues, grief, and an unwanted divorce. I'm grateful for Sally's wisdom as I've walked through those spiritual struggles.

WAYS WE CAN WORK TOGETHER
Services for your spiritual journey
Services for your spiritual journey
Individual Spiritual Direction
One-on-one session (typically 1 hour, monthly) focusing on your personal journey and listening for God's movement and invitations in your daily life. Bring whatever is on your heart—a struggle, question, joy, grief, sense of God's presence or absence—and together we will slow down and listen for how God is already moving in your life. Available in person (Mt. Juliet, TN) or via Zoom. I offer a free 30-minute consultation to ask questions and discern together if we might be a good fit.
Inner Healing Prayer
A gentle process of inviting God’s compassionate presence into the wounded places within by creating space for God to meet us where healing is most needed. I draw from three complementary approaches, woven together according to the leading of the Holy Spirit and the unique needs of each individual: Parts Work (IFS-informed), Immanuel Prayer, and HeartSync Prayer. Available in person (Mt. Juliet, TN) or via Zoom, 90 minutes. (Note: My calendar shows 1 hour due to a template limitation, but please plan for 90 minutes.
Retreats and Workshops
I love creating retreats, workshops, and special events that invite people to step away from the busyness of life, encounter God's presence more deeply, and grow together in faith. Whether you're seeking a customized experience for your church, ministry, organization, or group—or looking for an upcoming event to attend—I would be honored to journey with you.
Group Spiritual Direction
A beautiful form of soul care in community—and one of my favorite things to facilitate. A small group of typically 4-6 people gathers together, and each person shares briefly from their own spiritual journey while the group listens in a spirit of prayerful attention, offering gentle reflections rather than advice or discussion. What emerges is a shared awareness of God's movement, a deepening of trust, and the experience of being truly heard by both God and community. Groups meet monthly for a set period of time (typically 4-6 months), either in person (Mt. Juliet, TN) or via Zoom. Each session is approximately 90 minutes.
Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius
The Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius is a time-tested journey of prayer and spiritual formation that invites you into a deeper relationship with God through Scripture, reflection, and spiritual direction. Traditionally experienced as a nine-month retreat in daily life, journeying through the Exercises has been a transformative experience for countless people seeking to know and follow Christ more deeply. I offer both the full Spiritual Exercises for individuals and a condensed introduction for individuals or groups.
Spiritual Direction Supervision
Supervision offers spiritual directors and directors in training a prayerful space to reflect on their ministry, discern God's work in their practice, and continue growing in their calling. I offer one-hour monthly sessions in person (Mt. Juliet, TN) or via Zoom.
Marriage Enrichment and Intensives
In partnership with my husband, Neil (a licensed marriage and family therapist), I co-lead marriage seminars, retreats, and intensives that integrate spiritual formation, relational growth, and emotional healing.
